Your role

This position is to be responsible for accounting activities relating to month-end close, financial responsibilities in the area of accounts payable, contributing to year-end audit and statutory accounts activities, and thereby ensuring full adherence to approved accounting standards and statutory requirements.

In addition, cross-functional activities such as supporting the Global Business Services (“GBS”) accounts payable team, the financial handlings of sales marketing activities as part of the trade terms process, as well as the preparation of monthly standard or ad-hoc reports. Through engaging with their offshore GBS (Global Business Services) team in China, the role seeks to continuously identify opportunities for further collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Month end closing process which includes general ledger maintenance, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and financial postings
• Support the GBS accounts payable team on accounts payable queries
• Financial responsibilities in the area of accounts payable including purchase orders and coding of invoices
• Ensure weekly manual payment runs are prepared and processed
• Responsible for the sales marketing activities as part of the rebate management process
• Support of year-end audit and local statutory accounts process in partnership with external parties
• Responsible for SAP user access reviews as Local Authorisation Co-ordinator for Pacific
• Constantly challenging the norm and ensuring development and delivery of accurate and relevant financial solutions
• Responsible for administration of finance- and business-related contract database for Pacific
• Completion and submission of local government statistic surveys for financial and non-financial information
• Financial ad-hoc analysis in close collaboration with Senior Manager, Accounting
• Support Senior Manager, Accounting in any Global, APAC or local relevant accounting projects

Salary & benefits

Roles in Financial Accountant earn an average of A$55,000 to A$135,000. (Source: Glassdoor)

Requisite Education & Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• Completed tertiary qualifications in Finance/Accounting or equivalent professional experience in a similar Financial Accountant role.
• CPA/CA Qualification or working towards
