Celebrating 75 Years of Arup

Arup’s people share their motivations, hopes and passions and give an insight into how the firm continues to shape a better world.

In 1946, philosopher and engineer Ove Arup founded a firm with the purpose of changing the way the built environment was designed and engineered. 

In the 75 years since then, Arup has become synonymous with some of the most ambitious, creative and future-facing projects in the world – from the Sydney Opera House to its work completing Gaudi’s La Sagrada Familia. 

 

Nura Gili would like to Acknowledge the Bedegal (Kensington campus), Gadigal (City and Art & Design Campuses) and Ngunnawal people (Australian Defence Force Academy in Canberra) who are the traditional custodians of the lands where each campus of UNSW is located.
