Our Graduate Development Programme is committed to providing a great foundation where you’ll be trained, supported, and mentored along with providing exciting challenges for you to reach your full potential. You will work with passionate members of the Contact Energy team who are excited to share their knowledge of the energy industry with you, we can guarantee no two days will be the same!

The Graduate Development Programme commences in February 2025 and is an 18-month rotational programme. At the conclusion of the programme, you will transition into a permanent role within our Drilling and Interventions Team.

As a Drilling graduate based at our Geothermal Generation Site in Taupo you will:

• Be given the opportunity to experience firsthand on how geothermal wells are developed. From reservoir modelling phase through to drilling and lastly seeing a well in operation.
• Work in a dynamic environment with large machinery including a vareity of field and office-based work, to help prepare drilling projects, wells, and monitor progress of daily drilling activities.
• Learn to provide technical support on geothermal drilling and interventions activities, as well as keep an eye out for improvements in technology and processes to support reliable, efficient, economic, and safe operation.
