Three interviews, was nice as it was slightly different to normal interviews.

I applied online for the graduate programme, I then got a face to face interview with the regional manager. Eventually I heard back via email that I got into the programme.

Good interview process and HR communicate well, regularly communicating through phone and email. Interview process involved one-way video, graduate assessment centre (speed interviews, group project and presentation) and face-to-face interview with the hiring managers.

It was a group introduction with an individual interview. The hiring process was quick. The assessment was a general problem solving task of building a tower with paper, tape, sticks etc.

I think the process is good, but the comms to the other teams to organise PPE, vehicles, laptops, inductions etc. could be more efficient. It is common for someone to start and there be nothing prepared for them to be able to start work when they arrive.

Know what the company is offering, the differences between working for a contracting vs consultancy. Do a bit research on the departments that is available in each region. The difference between contracting, major projects, maintenance, supply chain departments etc. Reach out to seniors who has worked in FH. Apply for FH graduate programme as its a good learning experience for 12-24 months, rotating to various departments and learning about the different business areas.

Know exactly what you want to do, or where you want to be. Do some research into what things you would like to be trained in, try and figure out what sort of upskilling you would like to do while in the company, if it is getting W.T.R or working at heights or anything along those lines. Or if you would like to become a chartered engineer or something along those lines. Basically try and map out a path you would like to take.
