GHD is continuing our commitment in the engagement and development of young talent throughout our business and, as such, we have a role for a final year Civil/Geotechnical Engineering student to join our 2021 Graduate Program in our Tailings Dams team.
Our Tailings and Mine Waste Team services to a diverse range of mining organisations and project sites in geographical locations primarily in Australia but also overseas. We undertake an important role of making tailings storage facilities 'safe to build, safe to operate and safe to close' while meeting all regulatory and national/ international guidelines requirement as part of governance. With this comes a diverse range of experience in the tailings industry with integrated involvement in multiple disciplines with a strong focus on quality and risk management. Due to the varied number of technical disciplines, many projects are heavily collaborative within a team that values the differing strengths brought to the table by individuals in the team. The Tailings team has a dynamic group of young professionals, mentored by industry recognised leaders who are invested in career progression, succession planning and maintaining the tight knit bond of the team.

The recruitment process
