About Google

Google was founded in September 1998 with a mission to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. Since then, the company has grown to more than 90,000 employees worldwide, with a wide range of popular products and platforms like Search, Maps, Cloud, Ads, Gmail, Android, the Assistant, Made by Google devices, and YouTube.

Your role

As a Technical Program Manager, you'll work within the Google Chrome OS team to ensure strategic execution and operational cohesiveness across multiple cross-functional and cross-product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, and UX designers/researchers in executing programs from concept to launch including planning, tracking progress, identifying issues, and driving issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to deliver Chrome OS on hardware platforms (e.g., computers and tablets) for kids, families, frontline workers, and enablers.
  • Design and roll-out processes and tools to increase the velocity of engineering work and the reliability of product launches.

Training, development & rotations

At Google, 80% of all tracked trainings are run through an employee-to-employee network called “g2g” (Googler-to-Googler). This volunteer teaching network of over 6,000 Google employees dedicates a portion of their time to helping their peers learn and grow. Volunteers — known internally as “g2g’ers” — can participate in a variety of ways, such as teaching courses, providing 1:1 mentoring, and designing learning materials, and they come from every department of Google.
