Overview 

We are looking for dynamic graduate geotechnical engineer(s) to join our established team in Perth. 

Candidates must be reliable, systematic, and have the ability to work independently and in a team. Good communication skills and the ability to solve problems creatively are a must.

We work closely with customers and partners to understand and solve their challenges, and we have a strong international reputation for providing high-quality and excellent results. 

The primary place of work will be NGI's office and laboratory in Perth. Candidates should be prepared to travel on assignments both nationally and internationally as required. Work abroad for shorter or longer periods at NGI's other offices in Oslo and Houston may be required. 

What you'll do

Your experience as a graduate geotechnical engineer at NGI will involve a mix of training and on the job learning.  You will be involved in various projects and research assignments for offshore energy applications, for example:

  • Planning of site investigations, advanced laboratory testing and interpretation of soil parameters.
  • Design of foundations and anchors for fixed and floating structures.
  • Numerical analysis within offshore geotechnical applications.
  • Offshore supervision of site investigations and foundation installations.

About you

You will need to be analytical, be passionate about continuing your learning and, have a desire to contribute to and support a team. To be considered please ensure to have the following:

  • University degree in geotechnical or civil engineering, including relevant geotechnical classes.
  • Calculation software literacy (coding abilities will be looked on favourably).
  • Highly motivated with ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Applicants must have lawful rights to work in Australia at time of application.
