Your role

Shell is currently seeking an enthusiastic Logistics Supply Chain Intern to join their dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to engage in critical projects focused on planning excellence, automation of reporting, process improvement, KPI dashboard development, and digitalization within the supply chain domain. The ideal candidate will be a driven, analytical, and process-oriented individual who is eager to contribute to and learn from real-world supply chain management challenges.

  • Planning Excellence Project: Assist regional material planning excellence in the development and implementation of advanced planning strategies and tools. Analyze current planning processes to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the deployment of innovative planning solutions.
  • Automating Report Processes: Work closely with regional material planning excellence and data analytics teams to automate supply chain reporting processes. This involves understanding current reporting mechanisms, identifying inefficiencies, and helping to design automated solutions to enhance reporting accuracy and speed.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in ongoing supply chain process assessments. Utilize lean methodologies, conduct root cause analysis, and suggest recommendations to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • KPI Dashboard Development: Assist regional material planning excellence in designing and building comprehensive KPI dashboards that provide insightful business intelligence. Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and updated in real time to aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Digitalization Project: Support regional material planning excellence on the integration of digital technologies into our supply chain processes. This may include involvement in projects focusing on the implementation of Macro, Power BI, etc. to enhance visibility and efficiency across the supply chain.

About you

Shell is looking for students who meet the following requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant Degree program as a penultimate/final year student
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.0 and above
  • Minimum 6 months of internship commitment
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent proficiency in English
  • Proficiency in other languages (e.g. Thai / Mandarin / Cantonese) will be an added advantage
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software (knowledge in automation/data analytical tools will be an added advantage)
