The company provides and operates a tool or software that allows its user to generate user research and customer feedback—cloud-based—for analysis, organization, collaboration, and data storage. Dovetail captures customer feedback and user research in one place. 

The software works as a user research repository for centralizing interview notes and storing video and images, with tags and annotations to help with analysis.
